A Thank You To The Brave Men and Women of The Armed Forces

. . . AND to their families! Thank you for the tremendous sacrifices you have made and continue to make on a daily basis to defend us and our freedoms that we all too often take for granted.  We all need to remember that Freedom isn’t free! It comes at a very high price, which you pay for the rest of us.

It is my sincere hope that this day finds you in safety and comfort, surrounded by your loved ones, as we all work toward the day that all of mankind can live together in peace.

I took this picture at the Pearl Harbor Memorial at Pearl Harbor.  Pearl harbor poem wchild enlarged

This monument is inscribed with a poem that Eleanor Roosevelt carried in her wallet during World War II, and I thought it was appropriate for Veterans Day.

I had hoped you’d be able to read it from the picture, but since you can’t, this is what it says:

“Lest I continue / My Complacent Way / Help me to remember / Somewhere Out there / A man died for me today. / As long as there be war I then must / Ask and answer / Am I worth dying for?”

That’s something we all need to think seriously about.

Peace and God Bless!

Our Weekend With “Big Al” Schreiter

Wow! Our Weekend With “Big Al” Schreiter Was AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! STUPENDOUS!

2274275If you ever get a chance to attend a Big Al Schreiter seminar, do whatever it takes to be there! Our weekend in Houston last weekend was out of this world. We learned SO much!  And had a ball in the process.

“Big Al” is quite a character!  He really seems to have missed his calling as a stand-up comedian!   I’m not complaining!  He had us in stitches as we listened and took notebooks full of notes.  No problem staying focused or getting sleepy at any of Big Al’s seminars!

He said that in his “former life” (life before network marketing) he was an engineer.  It is really hard to imagine someone so funny working as an engineer! (The kind of engineer that works with a pencil designing things, NOT driving a train! lol)

Watch this short clip and see how entertaining he is.  You can see how he makes learning fun!

Thoughts On The Subject of Time

This post was brought over from my former blog, and was originally posted on, May 16, 2009

Paul Orberson left a great message on the GoSolo line a few days ago, on the subject of time. Here are a few of his thoughts:

It takes time and effort to build your business.

Sitting in your garage will not turn you into a car.

If you must kill time, work it to death.

He who kills time injures eternity

The purpose of time is so that everything won’t happen all at one time.

Do You Know The Problem With Having a Job?

Do You Know The Problem With Having a Job?

Besides your boss, that is. 🙂

bigstock_Full_Spectrum_Jobs_Employment__1539252Let me address that question by asking you another question:

If you were going to do a one-time job, and you had two choices for getting paid, which of the following would you choose?

A) $50 one time
B) $10 per month for the rest of your life

Obviously, “B” is a MUCH, MUCH better deal.
It’s called “residual income” and it’s much like writing a best-selling book or a hit record and getting paid royalties on it forever.

“Squeeze Page?”

Huh? 31.95% DON’T know what

a “Squeeze Page” is?

50-squeeze-page-templatesRecently, James Grandstaff revealed something that I found quite interesting…

If you’ve been around the IM (internet marketing) scene for awhile, you’ve most likely heard the term “squeeze page” before, right? At least that’s what I thought. Well, James surveyed approx. 500 people on his list who are interested in making money online. Many stated they were interested in affiliate marketing, product creation, MLM, etc…

One of the questions was “Do you know what a “Squeeze Page” is?” 68.05% answered yes and 31.95% answered NO.

To be honest…
